The "Asparadon SP" is an image processing sorting system equipped with an automatic tip alignment function, where the operator simply places asparagus on a slowly moving bucket. The input asparagus is cut to a fixed length by an automatic root cutting device, and the cut roots are discharged outside the machine. The image processing unit is a high-speed, high-precision image processing system that controls a total of five CCD cameras (including one color camera) to instantly distinguish size, tip opening, tip bending, flattening, hollowness, overall bending, red roots, and white roots.
